We're so happy you'll be joining us in person, and we're excited to meet you! There will be plenty of volunteers outside to let you know you've arrived to the right place.

ARRIVING FOR THE FIRST TIME : 

LOCATION: Local Point Church meets at Newport Baptist Church, located at 312 Chatham Street, Newport, NC.  

DIRECTIONS

ARRIVAL TIME: We currently have one service, starting at 9:30am, running for approximately one hour. Come early to share donuts and coffee with us! 

PARKING: We have two parking lots available at the church. If both the North and South parking lots fill up, we will direct you to the softball field across the street.

Look for our Guest Hub through the main entrance when you arrive, we have a team waiting to welcome you, just let them know you're a first time guest with us!

LOCAL POINT CHURCH KIDS

At Local Point Church, we think Sundays should be fun for every age. Our kids’ environments are designed just for them—from our nursery (6 weeks to potty trained) and toddler class, to Kinder–2nd and 3rd–5th grade. Each week, kids dive into music, games, activities, and small groups that help them discover who God is and how much He loves them. And while you’re enjoying worship, our amazing volunteers are making sure your kids are safe, learning, and having a blast on their level.  

FIRST TIME CHECK-IN:

  • At your first check-in you'll fill out contact info, any allergies, etc. and then we help by escorting your children to their appropriate classroom.
  • After that initial visit and they’ve been entered into the system, you can begin using the self check-in kiosks.

Our Local Point Kids Team will help your family check in upon your arrival!

LOCAL POINT CHURCH STUDENTS

LOCAL POINT CHURCH STUDENTS

Middle school and High School students (6th-12th grade) are invited to join us Wednesday evenings! If interested, your teen can start any time. 

This is a place where students come to hang out, meet new friends, have fun, and discover Jesus along the way! We gather every Wednesday night from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Pizza is provided!
