Moving Mountains - Prayers of Expectation
Chains fell. Gates opened. God moved. (Acts 12:1–11) Peter was chained. The church was praying. And while the plan of man looked final, expectant prayer changed everything.
Here’s what we saw:
• Expectant prayer is always greater than human plans
• When the church prays, crises don’t get the final word
• Expectant prayer brings peace—even when the pain hasn’t left yet
• Prayer isn’t just comfort… it’s the path to deliverance God didn’t need force. He didn’t need panic. He responded to earnest, expectant prayer and shattered what looked impossible.
Challenge for this week: Will you trust the God who breaks chains to free you from the prison of sin today? What “iron gate” have you been worrying about instead of surrendering in prayer? Stop assuming it’s locked forever. Start praying like God still opens doors.
